The Violet Veil is handcrafted from professionally dyed and stabilized wood of an unidentified species. The rectangular blank was received through a maker exchange, then shaped, hollowed, sanded, and finished by hand using the pre-lathe methods from an earlier stage of Gentry Crafted’s work.
Its violet color shifts from rich purple to near-black, while the slender cylindrical form and rounded rim keep the focus on the saturated color and subtle grain. Professional stabilization strengthened the original blank and helped prepare it for shaping and functional use.
Finish: Walnut oil, carnauba wax, and beeswax.
Care: Hand wash only. Do not soak or place in a dishwasher.
Best For: Spirits served neat or display as a one-of-a-kind example of Gentry Crafted’s early shot-glass work.
